First, this is only a novella-that should be stated so a person knows what they are buying. Second, this is a very old book re-covered and rereleased. Unfortunately, you don't find that out until reading the author notes at the end. It was like reading one of my mom's old Harlequin books from the 70's. Oh, wait a minute, it probably WAS an old Harlequin book from the 70's. I like this author, but her early stuff is dated and, quite frankly, crap.

This was one of Sandra's BEST books -- and I have read all of them, with the exception of three. Yes, it was romance through and through, and yes, it was a 'make you feel good all over' book. A definite re-read, re-read, re-read. . .

Only 150 pages of story. Should have said novella. Okay but not the least bit memorable.

I first got hook on this book when I finished reading Another Dawn and started to read the first charter at the end of the book. I got hook on it right away but I have to wait a few weeks to get the book from the library. When I got the book I started to read it and it was a instant hook on it. The characters goes through hard times but they get through with it by telling each other how they feel and knowing what right for each other. I recommend everyone to read this book from Sandra Brown.

This was the first book I have read of Sandra Brown. It was very interesting. I could not put it down. I am now hooked on this author.

"SHADOWS OF YESTERDAY" BY SANDRA BROWN Leigh Branson is a woman in trouble, finding herself going into labor on a Texas highway she is rescued by a stranger. Her husband having died long ago she is scared to let herself love again for fear of loss. Will Leigh be able to let go? A wonderful story about the power of love and how some past experiences are best left in the past. One of Sandra's best! -Kitty Bullard / Great Minds Think Aloud Book Club

This book was absolutely horrible. The only good thing about it is that it is short. I had previously read Sandra Brown's novel "Mean Streak" and found that to be very interesting and entertaining. This book is nothing like that. It is one of her older novels written in the 1980's and apparently she was writing trashy romance novels at that time. The book had no real plot and it was extremely predictable. But if you like novels that do not say anything except for detailed descriptions of sloppy, spit swapping, tongue twirling kisses, then you might like this. But if you are more into Sandra's more recent writings, then skip this trash and probably any other book she wrote back then and stick to her more recent work.

I would not buy this book again. It was too short and focused on descriptive sexual content to suit me. Maybe there is an audience for such reading material but I found it too light for my taste.

I am so glad I read an honest review about this being a re-release! I read another re-release and it was crap! I had read Friction and Mean Streak and LOVED them but the old stuff is awful.
