Shadows Over Phuket
Brent Kunzler's "Shadows Over Phuket" records a journey on Phuket, the island of golden beaches and easy smiles, which hides something far more sinister. When children vanish without a trace and hope flickers like dying light, Detective Nara Suriya steps into a labyrinth of deception where black vans prowl the midnight streets, and paradise bleeds at the edges. Across seven pulse-pounding chapters, Brent Kunzler rips open the veil over the Silent Network — a shadowy cartel moving human lives like cargo, incorporating corruption through police stations, ports, and palaces. Each page drips with urgency, with missions evolving in the dead of night, raids where seconds decide fates, and whispered warnings that trust is the most dangerous gamble of all. More than a thriller, this book is a story of stability in the face of rot, of military raids clashing against invisible enemies, and of one detective who cannot — and will not — let go, even as victory tastes like ashes. This is no ordinary battle. It is the hunt for what most have already surrendered: the lost, the forgotten, the stolen.
