Editorial Reviews
All Music Guide - Tim Sendra
Jet's third album, 2009's Shaka Rock, finds the band moving away from the ballad-heavy approach of previous album Shine On and reaching back to their debut, Get Born, and its breakout single, "Are You Gonna Be My Girl," for inspiration. The band displays plenty of energy throughout on rockers like "Seventeen" and "She's a Genius," and takes a couple breathers (on ballads "Goodbye Hollywood" and "She Holds a Grudge") to give the album some variety.
