Meet the Author

A Facebook application once told Jesse Petersen that she'd only survive a day in a zombie outbreak, but she doesn't believe that. For one, she's a good shot and two, she has an aversion to bodily fluids, so she'd never go digging around in zombie goo. Until the zombie apocalypse, she lives in the Midwest with her husband and two cats. Find out more about the author at www.jessepetersen.net.

    Just OK

After reading the first two Living with the Dead book, I pre-ordered this short story and was really looking forward to reading it. Short is right, it is 22 pages long, (the "bonus" excerpt from Married With Zombies, takes up almost as much space)

Plenty of action, but the story only covers a rapid overwhelming outbreak of the plague during a telethon and the expected battle, with of course only two survivors. It ended so abruptly, I was really left hanging. I have to wonder if Avery is going to reappear again in some future book as an ally of Sarah and David's.

I was disappointed, but for $1.99-- it was OK I'm waiting for Eat, Slay, Love in July.
