About the Author

Susan Walz is a former special needs teacher and is a mental health advocate. She maintains a blog, My Loud Whispers of Hope, which is listed on the Top 100 Bipolar Disorder Blogs for 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Certified as a NAMI presenter, she has given many presentations sharing her story to Universities and other organizations and was a featured speaker for Crisis Intervention Training for local police officers and social workers. Her greatest joys and accomplishments are her three children, two more children who married her children and her granddaughter.
