It’s an ocean commotion!

What’s a fairy to do? Jack Frost has stolen three enchanted pearls that control the magic of the oceans. Without them, the tides are all wrong, the sea creatures are confused, and even daytime and nighttime have gotten mixed up!

When Shannon the Ocean Fairy asks Rachel and Kirsty for help, they set off on a magical adventure to an underwater world. But will they find the pearls in time . . . or will the girls be lost at sea?

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Joyce Rice
A trip back to the Fairyland castle brings the reader an encounter with Shannon, the Ocean Fairy. Shannon's responsibility is to keep the ocean tides even and on time, coming and going just as they should. King Oberon and Queen Titania help the fairies to keep track of their duties and welcome them back to the palace when the day is done. Kirsty and Rachel's grandmother lives in a small seashore house, surrounded by the dwellings of the fairies. Quite by accident, Kirsty and Rachel have discovered that they can travel from their world to the fairy world and back. King Oberon and Queen Titania have welcomed them on several occasions, and they have always been helpful to the fairies in solving mysteries. The current mystery is why the ocean tides do not seem to know their limits and what three missing pearls have to do with it. When Jack Frost uses his magic to seek revenge against the fairies, all kinds of problems ensue. Kirsty and Rachel are able to help their little friends by becoming fairies themselves and discovering the mystery of the missing pearls, thus preventing Fairyland from flooding. They are also able to help in setting all things right again. This is a delightful tale of fantasy worlds and friendship. Reviewer: Joyce Rice

Our granddaughter began reading the Rainbow Magic Series books in First Grade and couldn't get enough of them! She's now in Second Grade and loved this particular book about Shannon, The Ocean Fairy. These books not only help children with reading skills, but they encourage them to read more, since they're fun to read.

You could have given the book one star instead of five stars because that woudlhave made sense. Five stars mean it is outstanding. Four stars mean it is good. Three stars mean it is kind of ok. Two stars mean it is not good at all. One star means the bok sucks and nobody should buy it and get rid of it forever. You must mean one star because baby books mean it sucks and you should get rid of it forever. Thank you.

Fantastic read! My children (Alyssa,8/ Brittany,6/ Courtney,5) all love these books! One great feature that this series holds is the "bad-guy," Jack Frost. He is not so scary that he will scare Brittany and Courtney, (my littles) but Daisy didn't make him so boring for Alyssa, (my oldest) like so many other villians in other books that Alyssa enjoys reading. Again, fantastic read!
