Overview

Nia and Peter both have a crush on each other. They spend their days watching and their nights dreaming what they would do when the watching is over. When they get their chance to make those dreams a reality will they keep moving forward or crush the possibility of a future.

Excerpt:
If Nia thought she was on fire before she was now in a full-blown inferno. The light tracing of his fingertips over the top of her hand had her taking in deep breaths to steady her rapid heartbeat. She moved to put distance between them but was stilled by Peter’s grasp of her wrist. The action was both possessive and comforting at the same time. Nia wanted to protest but with the way he was rubbing his thumb on the soft skin of the inside of her wrist she couldn’t seem to think of a valid argument.

“You know you feel it too,” he said leaning again to whisper into her hair and lightly brushing his lips against her cheek as he pulled away.

The brief contact of his lips upon her skin had her body quivering with need. She had gone so long without the touch of a man and now she was feeling the consequences of it. What she needed to do was pull herself together and exit before the situation went too far.

“I can’t really feel much of anything with you over there and me over here,” her treacherous mouth said while her brain was screaming abort. Nia knew that voice and it wasn’t hers. She was no longer in control; somehow her pussy had taken her hostage and was working up to doing some crazy stuff. Bad pussy, bad pussy her rational side said trying to sound stern.

When the sapphire color of Peter’s blue eyes seemed to darken to the color of a midnight sky Nia knew she was in trouble. Tightening his grip on her wrist he gently tugged her forward and looked at her as if he was going to devour her.

“I know that you’re a crafty wordsmith Nia but this isn’t the time to play with words or with me,” he said with a low growl.

Meet the Author

Like most great superheroes (or super-villains, depending on who’s telling the story) Janet Eckford lives a double life. By day Janet is a mild-mannered crusader for justice (or nefarious deeds, depending on who’s telling the story) and by night an indestructible creator of prose (or pathological liar, depending on who’s telling the story) while munching on her favorite cookies—oatmeal raisin. A native West Coaster who hails from the sunny state of California Janet, has loved the romance genre ever since she convinced her dad it was required reading when she was eleven. Janet believes love shouldn’t have a color code and strives to create stories that represent that belief.

Send her your praise and adoration and she will return it in kind.

    Decent...

    I can't believe I spent $5 for 15 pages!
In spite of that it was nice, but of course I wish there was more.

    Entertaining

It was short but entertaining. Felt the characters could have been developed more.
