    A Solid Fishing Guidebook

When I frst looked at this book, I was captivated by the large, colorful photos. I've been a fishing enthusiast since childhood, and have often wondered about big game fishing. I came to the book knowing little to nothing about shark fishing, and walked away feeling like I have a thorough education and could really do this thing. Even if you don't ever plan to hunt sea monsters, if you love fishing there's plenty to learn from this book. It is colorful, attractive, and offers step-by-step guidelines that will be helpful to both novice and experienced anglers. Also makes a great gift or coffeetable book that's where mine is, and is always admired by my guests.

    PETA beware

This is an amazing book. I've fished the Southern California waters for Mako, Thresher, Blue and White sharks for as long as i've been able to hold the pole. I thought i knew a great deal about shark fishing until i read this book. It gives you a different perspective on the sport from the eyes of a tournament winning shark captain, who has so much experiance and information, it's awesome. Anyone who loves ocean fishing as much as i do NEEDS to read this book. it will give you a better understanding about the sport we love. And to the soccer mom whos bleeding heart is screaming about how crule it is to hunt sharks, YOU ARE WRONG. Oviously you have no understanding about where your make-up and feminem hygene products come from. THANK A SHARK! I don't know a single shark fishermen who does not have the upmost respect for the beasts we hunt. MOST PEOPLE DON'T KILL THE SHARK! Myself for example, I catch maybe 40 sharks a year and keep 2 at the most for food. the rest are released unharmed, with a free meal, back to the deep. My sugestion for you, lady, is to join PETA so you have a group to cry to about this. Not on a review where the only people that will read it are people interested in shark fishing!

    Why kill sharks

My sister got this book in a store thinking it was about conserving sharks. Over 100 million sharks are caught an killed each year. How anyone would actually want to write such a book about these creatures in such a dishonorable way astounds me.
