Overview

My name is John Taylor. I’m a PI for hire in the Nightside, the dark and corrupt city within the city of London. Where the sun never shines and where pleasure and horror are always on sale—for the right price.

Not a nice place to visit or a nice place to live. So you wouldn’t think I would care that it was about to be destroyed, by none other than my very own long-missing, not-quite-human mom.

But I do. I was born here, I live here, and I got friends here. They might not all be acceptable in polite company, but they’re my friends, nonetheless.

I know that I’m the only one who can stop her. The trick is, how to do it without fulfilling this prophecy that says whatever action I take, not only is the Nightside doomed, but the rest of the world will soon follow…

This book is one of those books that will keep you up all nighr long. The story is compelling and the characters are crazy but likeable. The only problem I had with the book was that the climax of the book was condensed into about 7 or eight pages and felt rushed. That however was merely asmall blotch in my opinion that didn't take away from the book at all. I am addicted to this series and I believe it is a must read series for anyone who is looking for something unique and interesting to read.

WOW!I love all of the books. I love the way he stopped relying on his reputation in the past few books and really started proving it! Stealing the air out of peoples lungs!!Who thinks of that but John Taylor?!It was really awesome and I hope there are more because not alot of books compare to the Nightside.

I so enjoyed this book- the Nightside is such a wonderful place to visit. With every book, the characters become meatier and more interesting. I particularly liked the way the ending did not really end the series- there are many directions in which this series could go and I certainly hope that Simon R. Green intends to take a few of them. There are still loose ends to tie up.

He does IT! Simon Green manages to Destroy Nightside and yet not. The series continues. Taylor finds his mother, her plans and a way to thwart them without destroying Nightside. The Authorities are revealed, Walker is exposed and Nightside reveals most of its Secrets, or does it? He tied up his loose ends, he revealed hearts where none existed and the story is just as satisfying. Best of all, the series can be continued. John Taylor survives and doesn't have to rule by Mommy's side over Nightside.

Read a Nightside story in a collection of short stories and was hooked. Great read. Answers the questions about John's parents and his relationship to Walker and the Collector. Also how and who really created the Nightside.

Calling all Harry Dresden fans! This series by Simon Green is awesome! If you love Harry, you will love John Taylor. All the books leading up to this one were awesome too! Great storyline and great characters! In this one, John is coming to war with his crazy god mother. I won't spoil the end, but some of my favorite characters were brought back for this one, besides Suzie Shotgun, Dead boy, Pretty poison, Razor Eddie! Love it. I can't tell you enough about this series. It is a must!

This book was fast, short, to the point and had a fast and furious ending that crashed burned and exploded at the same time. It was awesome. PERIOD.
