Meet the Author

BERNARD CORNWELL's sweeping historical novels make him a number-one best-selling author in the United Kingdom and around the world. Born in London, Cornwell worked for the BBC and Thames Television before coming to the United States to write full time. He lives with his wife on Cape Cod.

    Best action hero since James Bond

    it was very enjoyable a great read you become the hero and at times can't bear to turn the page in fear that Sharpe is killed. that is the beauty of these books. Just as you feel that there is no way out Sharpe pulls another brillient stunt. Fantastic.
