JUST YOUR AVERAGE MEGA-WITCH. . . .

It’s tough being a modern woman, but Persephone Alcmedi has it worse than most. Being the prophesied Lustrata has kicked her career as a witch into high gear, and juggling a wærewolf boyfriend who is about to become king of his kind and a seductive vampire who bears her magical Mark isn’t easy either.

Still, Seph’s beloved foster daughter, Beverley, is causing more trouble than these two men put together. The young girl’s been playing with a magical artifact that’s far more dangerous than she realizes. Now Seph must summon help from a mystical being so potent that even vampires fear him . . . and the cost of his aid may be more than she’s willing to pay. Seph, Johnny, and Menessos face threats from all sides—and a few from within. Will the forces of destiny cement their tenuous supernatural union, or shatter it forever?

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Megawitch Persephone Alcmedi, still torn between a werewolf and a vampire who vie for her attention, tangles with an even more powerful mystical being in an attempt to save her daughter from the effects of a magical artifact. This volume follows Vicious Circle, Hallowed Circle, Fatal Circle, Arcane Circle, and Wicked Circle.
Publishers Weekly
Robertson’s lackluster sixth Persephone “Seph” Alcmedi urban fantasy novel (after 2011’s Wicked Circle) is rife with royalty. Seph herself may be the Lustrata, the prophesied witch messiah; her love interests are Johnny, Domn Lup, or king of the “waerewolves,” and Menessos, the outgoing Haven Master of Cleveland’s vampire community. The royal and the divine bump incongruously against the mundane, with Hecate name-dropped as casually as Ozzy Osbourne. This could be fun, but the characters get tangled in a slow-moving story about Seph needing to rescue her foster daughter as the menfolk fend off various supernatural and political threats. Multiple subplots appear with scant exposition and often go unresolved, and the writing borders on parody (“I’m your worst nightmare”) without any of the necessary self-awareness. Seph does little to distinguish herself as a protagonist, so this installment of her adventures will be of interest only to those who are already fans of the series. Good book. Just as good as the others in the series.

I think that all the books in this series are funny, serious, and sad at times. I love those type of books.

hmm...not my favorite in the series.  it was pretty boring actually.  "Creepy" was interesting, but that was about it.
Honestly don't know if I will continue with the series.  I will probably wait to see if the library carries it digitally.  There is a lot of potential,
but I just felt like this was a "filler" book in the series...nothing grand.

    Ehh..

I was a so excited about this release that I re-read every book in this series. Then I remembered that I was just as disappointed with the previous book. Persephone, Johnny and Menessos have been offered no resolutions to any of the challenges they face and they seem to just be sinking deeper and deeper. I truly enjoy reading about all three characters and I think the series is very original. I hope the next book is released in a quicker time frame than the last. I am losing interest quickly.

I¿m going to start by saying that this may not be one of my grea

I’m going to start by saying that this may not be one of my greatest reviews- BUT before you freak out- I loved the book, I should have read the whole freaking series first!!! Hahahaha I’m sometimes a goofball, and wanna read a book with out even noticing if it’s part of a series!! Soo… This is the first book I’ve read in this series- BAD DOG MAGHON!! LOL  however with that said, I will now be investing in this WHOLE SERIES!! I liked this book a whole heaping lot and seriously feel the need to read from page one of book one! High five in getting myself to purchase more books hahahaha  I will most definitely be reading them all- in order- and probably editing this review in the future!

I happen to very much like Persephone as a character! I like that her nick name is Seph… Though I some times wanna call her Stef and it’s funny to me that I keep noticing myself calling Menessos, Mimosa… Maybe my crazy life is telling me I need a drink… Or maybe it’s my crazy Cajun heritage  hahaha any who! Back to Seph, I know I’m missing some parts by not starting at the beginning but I’ve found I already love her. I like what she stands for and who she feels she is and her willingness to help others and she lets some major wrongs go to help those who have wronged her. She’s become a very much wanna-be character to me- meaning I would definitely wanna be her in another world!

I think I’m definitely enjoying the male characters in here, though I’m usually all about team werewolf, and yet I found myself a little on team vamper more! *GASP* I wasn’t sure that was possible, so another major high five to Ms Linda for having something special! And I totally loved her relationship with Beverly! It’s very cool to me for an urban fantasy heroine to have a child, regardless if she actually gave birth or not! And she stole my heart so who wouldn’t love that!!

This story is action packed, and though I know there’s backstory I haven’t read, I had absolutely no trouble being sucked into this world of awesome! I loved the world created and this makes me want to have the whole series even more!! The writing is just fantabulous! It has so many feelings to it, plus after reading all these character’s problems, I’m thinking I should stop stressing so much about mine! LOL! I absolutely cannot wait to read more and getting the first books of this series has just become a high priority for me!! I can’t wait for more!  5 SCARY DELICIOUS PAWS from me!!

    Was a very choppy read

Everytime I was getting into the story line, chop I was cut off. I put this book down at least four times, just so I could get through the book. Don't get me wrong I really wanted to read to the end, just took me a few times to get there. Would I buy this book again???
