Justin Middleton, hot sexy orthopedic surgeon is known for one thing...breaking women's hearts. He built quite a reputation for himself and anyone can tell you about him. But now Justin has only one thing on his mind and that's winning Terri Mitchell's heart. That's all the time she's given him--six short months. If he can't do it by then, they'll go their separate ways. He's convinced that she's the one for him and will go to any lengths to prove it to her. But the one thing he must do is win her trust...and that's something he destroyed when he cheated on her before.
Terri Mitchell knows she's lost her mind when she even suggested this six month harebrained scheme. Her broken heart is finally on the mend from her past encounter with Justin. All this time she's convinced herself that he's nothing but a cheating, heartbreaking ass, but when he shows up at her house late one night looking deliciously sexy and irresistible, her iron will to fight him vanishes. Before she knows it, and as much as she tries to resist him, she finds herself in bed with him and falling down a road of passion filled nights.
But Terri's not alone because for the first time in his life, Justin has met his match. Terri is the one that has turned all the tables. Within weeks, both of them find themselves deeply involved, but when Terri's brother, Preston, shows up, mysterious things begin to happen, turning their blissful world into something dark, twisted and dangerous.
This is an Adult Contemporary Romance that contains mature content not intended for younger readers. Shattered Edge, while part of the Edge Series, is a stand alone Edge Novel.

This book is dangerously sexy! Off the charts steamy and overflowing with sexiness! In fact I challenge you. I challenge you to pick this book up and read even a little bit without finding yourself in a seriously frisky mood.
I devoured this book and it devoured me in return. Not only do we get a seriously sexy story that leaves us drooling and fanning ourselves. We also get an amazing story line that is so jam packed full with surprises and twists, it's astounding!
Terri & Justin, whom we met in the first Edge Novel as Lexi's best friend and Pearce's brother, are dealing with a magnetic force that is shaking their world's right to the core. Their relationship is not without it's complications, believe me, but despite those giant bumps in the road they just cannot resist each other. They cannot be alone in a room for more than a few minutes without clothes flying and temperatures rising. But their relationship goes even deeper than that mind blowing-ly intensity. They have a love for each other that has overcome the craziest obstacles and seen them through some really rough times.
Now I've come to learn that Hargrove creates male characters like Picasso created art. She's a master, she really knows what she's doing! But I found what made Justin more special than the rest of them and made me love him even more was he was not your perfect dream guy. At least not until he met Terri. He had a rocky past with the female variety and he had done some pretty terrible things that were borderline unforgivable. But Terri made him want to change all of that. To become a better version of himself and to show her just what kind of man he could be for her. And wow, did he ever step up. So there I was, yet again, frothing at the mouth over another one of Hargrove's dream men.
This book was surprisingly heart wrenching. I did not expect my heart to break and mend repeatedly like it did. Then there were surprises that just came flying out of nowhere and slammed right into you. My jaw literally dropped on a few occasions and I was left turning pages relentlessly because how could I not find out what happened next?!
Yet another amazing story from the mind of Anne Hargrove. I don't know how she does it! She's a lean, mean, writing machine. Not that I am complaining because I just can't seem to get enough! Just when I think that this story is the best, I'm floored all over again when I pick up the next one.
You've got to read this. Seriously! You've got romance that will make you swoon, drama that will make your heart race, a guy that will make you melt and drool, and the sex......OH....MY..-EXPLETIVE-. All I can say is I am so glad that my husband was near by because I don't think I could have made it all the way through without blowing off some of that steam. Be prepared ladies to have your socks rocked right off!
Thank you again Anne for the wonderful, incredible story!
P.S. My husband thanks you too ;)

Shattered Edge is the story of Terri and Justin. We met the two of them first in Edge of Disaster, though you do not have to read that book first in order to get this one (but I would suggest it, just because it's awesome and you'd be missing out). The two are stand-alone novels with repeating characters.
Terri is recovering from a car accident that left her seriously injured and scarred. She is an incredibly strong character who pushes on, though she cannot seem to let her infatuation with Justin go. Justin is pretty much your typical playboy. Women like him, and he knows it. Except now he cannot seem to get Terri out of his head, or the guilt that has been plaguing him since the car accident. The two had gone on a couple of dates before the accident, but things had dulled down with them afterwards.
When the two of them decide to give a try at a relationship, things get seriously hot! The chemistry between Terri and Justin is incredibly potent and they cannot stay away from each other. They are seemingly perfect for each other; Terri strong and independent, and Justin sweet and romantic. Life goes on, though, and often gets in the way. Terri goes through a series of mishaps in her personal life, one of which might just bring the end to their relationship. It takes everything they have to overcome the obstacles in their path, but it seems that sometimes love is just not enough.

A.M. Hargrove is an excellent author that writes Romance books, with not only the romance, but with mystery and real life issues
involved. In Shattered Edge Justin and Terri try to start their relationship again and I have to say Terri is a true forgiver, with giving Justin
another chance at her heart. Preston, Terri's brother, shows up and starts causing problems and ends up being more than just a
problem in their relationship. Justin also has his issues with a psychotic stalker out to take out what she perceives as competition.
I highly recommend Shattered Edge to anyone that likes mystery and action in their romance books.

Shattered Edge by A. M. Hargrove is the second novel I have read by her and I read it out of order. That being said, even though I knew the ending, I still really enjoyed the ride. I love second chance stories and in many ways, this was one. Terri and Justin had made a connection in the past, but tragedy got in the way. Now they are on their way to finding happiness with each other when Terri's brother Preston shows up. He lives in a dark and dangerous world they both find themselves emerged in. What a fun, suspenseful and hot story. The characters are strong and likable. While the plot is a little farfetched when it comes to Preston's world, I was so entrenched in the story by then that I felt like it could be real. I will definitely be reading more by this author. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
