The One Last Wish series by Lurlene McDaniel is titled She Died Too Young. After getting a heart transplant Katie returns to school with problems. Then Katie finds out that her friend Chelsea and her Mom are coming to stay with her and her family. Katie met Chelsea at Jennie House and has been friends ever since. Chelsea also has to have a heart transplant and has to go to the hospital near Katie¿s house to get help. Other than having to help her friend Katie is also having trouble at school. Katie is put partnered with the new kid at school how likes her and she kinda likes him, but she has a boyfriend. When working on the project Katie has trouble working on the project because she¿s too focused on the new guy and her boyfriend. When Chelsea finds out that there might be a heart on the way that she can have every one goes to the hospital. While at the hospital Katie finds out that her old friend from Jennie House is there and waiting on a heart transplant too. There¿s only one heart though and two people who need one, who will get the heart? To find out I suggest you go get this book to find out who lives and who dies.

chelsea and jillian are both best friends and unselfish to each other when there's only one person who's going to get the transplant. this book is sad when one of the girls dies because she can't get the transplant. but this book is really uplifting too. if you didn't get this book buy it now!

I thought this book was great. I read all the books about Chelsea over and over. It shows realities that many teens face everyday while giving a good and interesting story line.

my sis faced a heart transplant a while ago, and i felt so lost and alone. she went into rejection, and it was the worst time of my life. i've had emotional issues since then, and my (super-kewel) friendz foreva, amy, sam, and lori reccomended these books to me (amy and lori wrote reviews on this book recently, just scroll down). it was so awesome and really does prove that FRIENDS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING EVER. if you don't have friends, who can you relate to? i would have been lost without friends, and this book really proves it. all-time fave of the series. the katie-garrison-josh thing was ah-dor-ah-bul! luv it, lurlene mcdaniel! -veronica *smile*

my friend amy recommended this series to me. i figured i'd try them. you know how accurate this is? my daddy is waiting for a heart transplant and i'm scared to death over whether or not he'll live to see my next birthday or my older sister graduate or one of my younger sisters, katelina, go to high school wit me or whether he'll see my oldEST sister graduate college or see my younger sister wear her first tube top. some series (the CLIQUE for example) don't even think of focusing on the negative aspects of life. (someone flirted with your crush. boo-hoo, wannabe, go wash off all that makeup and look human!). so, of course, i recommend this to girls with family and friends facing medical probs. (including my bff, VeRoNiCa!) this book is awesome.

this book shows that there really are things beyond our daily lives--according to mcdaniel. she points out that people really do get sick and die, including friends. one of my close friends has a father waiting for a heart transplant--same as chelsea and katie. i told her about the series, and she's started reading them. another of my friends had a sister whose case was the same as chelea's, including the fact that another of her closest friends was in running with her for heart. the difference is, both girls did survive to tell their story. i think thst these books show that there is more to life than just having fancy clothes and perfect grades.

If I was in a contest for my life against my two best friends, I would die. Friends, family, books, and animals are the most important things in the world to me. If you don't have friends, you don't have anything.

The way Lurlene McDaniel describes everything in her story makes you feel like your really there. Her writing made me and will make you love Jillian, Chelsey, and the other characters like they're real people. I recommend this book to anyone who likes books that make you cry and books that make you wish the book would never end.
