    New To Sapphic Erotica

I have to say I have not regretted my purchasw; the author gives you a variety of short stories the first being "Where Angles Dare to Tread" which is Carole and Belle's story, this story sets the pace for the rest of the book, although it was hot with a capital "H" I think this was the one with the least substance, in short it was Girl meets Girl and less than 8hrs later they are having a one night stand on a park bench behind the VFW building. I was honestly hoping for more of a plot and substance, even though I came to realize that this story is part of the authors "Dareville" series. Because it was the very first story in the book it should have been everything. Although the second story "Last Call" which is Janet & Sarah's story which centers around two best friends in their twenties both trying to find purpose in their lives while following their dreams. I found this story to be very good, you got a sense of Janet and Sarah as individuals as well as what they meant to one another as best friends and how the relationship is developing from life long friends to something infinitely more meaningful. It was sensual, tender, loving and yes steamy! The third story "Share" is about Marissa and Nell who are college roommates; Marissa a master's degree candidate and Nell a law student who are not just roommates but friends. Both women are single and from all appearances heterosexual; Nell is the more adventures of the two having what described as a "revolving bedroom door" not committing to just one guy and having the last more than a few weeks a couple of months at the max. Marissa is a lot more stayed she's not in a relationship and hasn't made time for even a friend with benefits. The story kicks off with Marissa coming home one day and she's been thinking about the fact that her life has been come hum drum and predictable, not to mention she needs a little TLC. She assumes that her roommate Nell is once again entertaining her current boyfriend. Marissa heads into her own room with the intent of giving herself some self-satisfying TLC and while doing so Nell walks in and that's when the story goes from 0-60mrps in no time flat. This story is passionate, sensual and will get you more than a little warm, it's left off with the assumption that anything and everything can happen between Marissa and Nell. The fourth story is a continuation of "Share" titled "Share Some More", in it the relationship between Marissa and Nell is established as an open relationship where they find mutual pleasure in one another but still date men outside of their personal arrangement. Nell is an admitted bisexual, but Marissa is not apt to but a label on herself or their relationship, that is until Nell suggests that they invite another woman into their relationship; Marissa beings to question her feelings for Nell and whether she is willing to accept this new element that is introduced into their relationship. The fourth story is a continuation of "Share" in it the relationship between Marissa and Nell is established, but other things are introduced into their relationship that could be a potential threat. Overall for my first foray in sapphic erotica I believe I made a good choice, the book wasn't smutty and just based on sex entirely. It was enjoyable on the whole and made me want to read other books by this author whether it be heterosexual or lesbian based stories.

    Not my thing

Despite the fuss I found it shallow and a turn off. This isn't women's erotica for sure.

    A waste of good bytes

Even though a lot of the reviews say this book was far reaching, that not everyone likes the same thing. Well, I'm here to tell you that if this is truely what women think is erotic then I'm swearing off women's erotica. I've read racier stories in Reader's Digest. Basically, don't waste the buck.
