She Owns the Knight

Why does she have to travel seven hundred years through time to find a
decent guy?

Brokenhearted Gillian Corbett finally finds the knight of her dreams...in the past. Unfortunately he's bossy, overbearing, and...betrothed! Fortunately, he thinks she is his affianced, which keeps her from garderobe duty. Or worse, being hanged as a spy. She knows she has to get back to her own time before his real fiancé shows up and the truth is discovered, but until she finds a way, she's going to squeeze every bit of enjoyment she can out of this situation. As far as she's concerned, this is one relationship in which she gets to call the shots, not the other way around. The dowry provided by his betrothed bought him, lock, stock, and barrel. She'll gladly whip him into shape for the girl who ends up with him. No thanks required. In the meantime, Jillian owns him, and as every twenty-first century girl knows...ownership has its privileges.

Why can't he find a lady who is obedient, submissive...or at least not trying
to kill him?

After a horrible first marriage that ended badly, Sir Kellen Marshall is determined to protect what is left of his dreams. He needs an heir, an alliance, and a chaste bride who has never loved another. Would that he'd been choosier in his specifications because what he's ended up with is a loud, bossy, demanding female who will drive him daft at every opportunity. So why does he feel he'd like to lay the world at her feet if she'd simply give him the chance?

When modern meets medieval, can there be a happily ever after?

    I couldn't put it down

I was captivated by the characters and story. I felt like I was the heroine! I read until I finished the whole book which was 3 in the morning lol I didn't want it to end. This book is funny, charming, and romantic without being mushy or sexually explicit. The characters come alive off the page. I recommend this book to everyone. But a word of advice-- be sure you have the time to spend to read it because once you start you just may find that, like me, you will not be able to put it down :D

    A great read!

I've read so many bad time travel romance novels that I was pleasantly surprised by this one--well written, interesting and believable characters, and a good story. I read far later into the nights than I should have!

    Wow! Fabulous read--incredibly well done!

SHE OWNS THE KNIGHT is fun, light, sparkling with humor and yet rich with intrigue! The characters are strong, believable, true to themselves. Couldn't put it down. This book is a KEEPER, and I'll enjoy reading it again! Diane Darcy is a talented writer...can't wait to read more from her.

    LONG

Good but a bit too long. Over 900 pages on my Nook. Not a fast read for me...I kept looking at the page number to see where I was at and I frequently put my Nook down to do other stuff. I was relieved when I finished the story. I guess the story line was just a bit boring.

I absolutely loved this book! It is a must read. It's nice to read a book that is clean without being sexually explicit. Ms Darcy develops the characters clearly to where you picture them in their rightful rolls. Good job!

"She Owns the Knight" is my first book by Diane Darcy

"She Owns the Knight" is my first book by Diane Darcy and I loved the book.  The story kept me wanting to see what happened next because it was somewhat of a mystery.
I love reading Historic Fiction. Although this books was not  factual I love reading about Medieval times and time travel and this book filled that  request.
I am planning on reading more of Diane Darcy's books.

    Amazing Read!

I've certainly read my share of romance books; with time travel books being a personal favorite. She Own the Knight was definitely one of those books that was soooo hard to put down and just as disappointing when the story ended. Bravo!!
