    In Response to OMG

    I have never heard that reading a Gay/Lesbian book would convert you to be that way. I am a proud Lesbian and I know that reading a heterosexual book would never turn me straight.

    That was an unnecessary comment and in no way do I see it heloing someone decide whether or not they would want to read this book.

    I am ordering it now and I will def get back with my review.

    A breath of fresh air!!!!

    I really enjoyed this book, it started out very light and hilarious like most friendships. It was ironic to see the transition from being just friends to something more. I could actually relate to it, which made me appreciate this book even more than I already did!!! I would recommend this book for anyone who is trying to find themselves, and who feels trapped and confused. It opens you up to the possibilities if you allow yourself to "just be".

    A wonderful read!!

    Although this only a little over 200 pages, it was very well written. Shonda found a way to capture the essence, thoughts, and feelings that many young (and even older) women go through...despite race. Trying to come to terms with who you are in a society that dictates everything from the way a woman should dress to what career path she should choose, can be extremely stressful and overwhelming for an adolescent female. This is especially true for women of color. The African-American community STILL holds on to the old 'don't speak of it' rule when it comes to homosexuality. Even when their children are being raped, tortured, and committing suicide because no one will listen. Even when their ignorance leads the issue to their beloved church's doorstep! I recommend this book to any woman - young, old, Spanish, African-American, rich or poor - who thinks they are alone and cannot see the light jn midst of their struggle... It IS there and it waits for you!

    OMG

    When I first saw the cover of this book i was like ewwww, but it turns out to be really good .Tina had to be my favorite character she was so strong . People just make sure when you read it don't let it change you ,its just a book it didn't change me i'm so happy with my man ,I even let him read it .
