Beep! Beep! Sheep in a jeep on a hill that’s steep.
Sheep in a Jeep is well loved by the preschool and early-reader sets for its slapstick story of five sheep (in a jeep) and silly sound effects—especially when the jeep goes splash and thud in the mud! Nancy Shaw’s rollicking rhymes are Seuss-snappy, and Margot Apple’s appealing pencil illustrations are expressive and hilarious. This 2010 board book edition, just right for small hands, includes a “Make Your Own Sheep” activity! (Think cotton balls.) Shear delight.
Don’t miss Shaw and Apple’s other sheep-heaped titles in board book form: Sheep in a Shop, Sheep on a Ship, Sheep Out to Eat, Sheep Trick or Treat, and the lap-size board book edition of Sheep in a Jeep!
Records the misadventures of a group of sheep that go riding in a jeep.
The characters are zany, the rhymes are enchanting. Written in the same vein as the Dr. Suess easy-readers, this book, Sheep In A Jeep, would be a great addition to your home librsry. My sons really enjoy it.

I had not been exposed to the other books in the series, but I definitely believe Sheep In A Jeep is just darling and the rhymes make it so much fun. My son can just now read this on his own, an better yet, he wants to!!

The rhyming very entertaining and the illustrations vivid. It's not too long, not too short and we read it over and over. Will purchase others from this author and illustrator.

I purchased Sheep in a Jeep for my grand daughter for Christmas but as soon as it arrived I wanted to read it. These sheep are a mess! I laughed and laughed as their ride continued-or not. I showed my daughter who had the same reaction....be careful as you read this out loud because you will have serious difficultly getting to the end without laughing and crying at the same time! A great addition to any story time.

We've been working with our 4 year old on rhyming words & this book is great for that! Very few words to the story but they all rhyme. Very cute illustrations and funny story. This is not a "read to me" book.

This a great book for little people to read and reread and to study. The expressions on sheep faces are priceless. Have you ever seen a sheep sweat? The predicaments that the sheep encounter make the little ones think. This edition of the book itself lends itself to young children. The heavy cardboard pages make for easy turning and great visualization. 10 stars!

My grandson loves this book. He's only 23 months old and in love with cars. He specifically loves jeeps because his dad owns one. He points them out on the street, and asks to go in the garage to see his dad's jeep. So when I saw this book, I knew it would be a hit. It is age appropriate and beautifully illustrated. Now, he asks his mom and dad to read it to him every night for his bed time story. It's a great book for him to learn to read later on. His 9-month-old brother is beginning to like it as well.

This book is very good to read to a toddler since it has the rhyme and cute story. It is equally good for a new reader!

We LOVE this book. It's such a cute story with great illustrations. We hope everyone buys this book and read it again and again. We have two of them... one for home and one for the cabin. I can't wait to get the other sheep books. Raccoon Tune looks fun too!

This is a great book because my young son can read it without any problems and he's just learning to read on his own.

I was first introduced to Sheep in a Jeep as a preschool teacher. Catchy and clever, it was a hit with my students. Now as a mother of two, I made sure that it was a part of our home library. Not only can my girls recite the whole story, but so can their grandparents and aunts and uncles!!

I happened upon 'Sheep in a Jeep' last year while looking for books for my 22 month old niece. This book is tounge twisting fun. The artwork only adds to it. I notice something new each time we read it. (Look for the pig's tattoo!) It's still a favorite. I plan on buying more of the titles this year.
