Sweet Bedtime story; Good for English Language Learners

Nice bedtime story for children aged 7 and under. Real life story about how a dog and his new owner found each other.Story is simply written and people in the story have generic titles like "the angry people" or "the lonely man" instead of names. The story might also work well with older children who are learning to read in English since the story uses simple language and has a story line that would hold their interest. The generic label would aid them in their understanding of the people in the story.
