Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
Author Lou Aronica creates a world that manages to be both surreal and tangible. Reading this book is like experiencing a lucid dream with depth and detail that play on all five senses. -Blogcritics

This was such a well written novel, I couldn't praise Aronica more for the beautiful way he intertwined characters and worlds. Every last detail in the fantasy world was creative and added more to the story. There were some heartbreaking scenes along the way that had me crying, but the love between father and daughter was extremely clear and quite emotional.. A recommendation to all readers. - Chick Lit Plus

Blue is a compelling fantasy novel that will tug on your heart strings and fill your eyes and heart with wonder. Beautifully written, the worlds just come to life in vivid color in your mind, and the hope and magic will keep you up late into the night turning the pages. Well executed, engaging and with characters you can't help but love, Blue is a must read! I absolutely loved it! - Minding Spot

Blue is an emotional, thought-provoking story that reaches in and squeezes the heart.. Blue made me cry and laugh. It enlivened my imagination and offered hope. This story is full of subtleties that tease the mind. I'm sure new wonders will come to light each time the story is read-it is a story to be enjoyed more than once. Becky and her Tamarisk Kingdom will be remembered long after the last words of Blue are read. -Long and Short Reviews

Once in a while, a story comes along that completely surprises me because it delivers so much more than I expected; more depth, more feeling, more story-weaving. Blue not only falls into this category, it tops the list.. I humbly give this book FIVE STARS, and wish I had more to offer. - Between the Pages

I found this book to be very addictive. I read half of it the first night I purchased it and finished it the second night. Some of the turn of events in this book I never would have suspected. I believe this would make a very entertaining movie and look forward to more from this author.

This is one of the BEST books I have ever read. A tight well written suspense novel that keeps the pages turning and is hard to put down all the way to the end. And that's where it blows your mind!!! This book IS a must read!

I honestly couldn't stop reading it. One of the better ebooks i've read since i first got my nook. Loved the story line and especially how the author keeps you hanging at the end! Certainly not bad for a free book! :D

I was impressed that this book was Mr. Cross' first book. I read reviews from others and was really impressed with this book. It was hard to put down. Characters were believable and real. Just when I thought I had figured it out I would turn the page and it wasn't as it seemed. The book is fast paced, and left me up late reading. Enjoyable. I am amazed a large publisher hasn't picked up this author. This is a well written book I would highly recommend for the beach, a rainy day,or simply your next book. I look forward to the next book produced by this author a true story teller!

The Shepherd did not leave me disturbed, as I have read in some other reviews, although I had been concerned that it would. That said, however, this book will scare you more than once - I promise. Do yourself a favor and don't read too many reviews - though no real spoilers, some reveal enough to alter the ultimate experience with this page-turner! It's a great book that gives you a lot to think about yet has a smooth, seamless storyline. Extremely well done! Don't miss this book! You will be anxiously awaiting the sequel with the rest of us!

At first i just wanted to read something to pass time. I PASSED MORE TIME THAN EXPECTED!!!! This is a good story. I lost track of time. As soon as i finished one page i said I'll read 1more than take a break. I never took one. Its not often i read one as good as this. Francis (i admit) is my favorite character. He kept me wondering what he's gonna do next. I plan on reading the next continuation. I cant wait 2pick up from there.

I love finding new and exciting authors to start following. One of my favorites is Dean Koontz and now Ethan Cross makes that list. This book takes you from one trill to another never stopping to catch your breath. If this is what his first book is like, well then I am excited to see how his writing evolves and grows with each and every new book. A must read. Can't wait to read 'The Prophet'.

I live to read and I get really excited when I come across a new author who can capture and hold my attention through the whole book. The Shepherd is a fast-paced book with lots of twists and turns; each time I thought I had figured something out it changed. I also love when an author can tell a very good story and not use profanity (I believe I counted 3 or 4). As I read the story, I found myself pondering about some of the moral delimna's the protaganist faced, I wondered what decisions I might make if placed in the same situations. I highly recommend this book and look foward to reading future stories by Ethan Cross!

This is the first Ethan Cross novel I have read but it won't be the last. I just finished 'The Shepherd' and will be purchasing more of his books. A thrill ride from page one. One of the few books you cannot figure out until the very end... and then Mr. Cross throws you for another curve. Great book!

AMAZING BOOK!!! :P Everyone who has ever had any doubts about the rightness of vigilante justice, NEEDS TO READ THIS BOOK!! There is a VAST difference between taking a life because you NEED to, in order to save other lives, and what most people judge vigilante actions as being which is pointless murder. READ this book; I don't think anyone on either end of the spectrum will ever view things the same again. And even other than that element, this is a phenomenal story-line, great action, nonstop suspense, definitely a good and entertaining read.

I really liked this story.. I found that it was a lot like Prison Break season 4 because of the government conspiracy and the twist and turns in the plot but just like I loved that show, I really enjoyed this book. And also like the show I was never expecting the ending, which makes for a great read!
