Overview

A visit to a business in London and an intriguing trap identifies the culprit but a rare error by Holmes may allow the blackmailer to escape and avoid the gallows.

Meet the Author

Dick Gillman is a Yorkshireman in his 60's. He qualified as a Food Technologist and worked in Sheffield, UK. Graduating with the Open University, he entered teaching in 1980 and taught Physics and then Balanced Science for 25 years to 11-16 year olds in the Nottingham / Derby area.He retired from teaching in 2005 and moved to Brittany, France in 2008 with his wife Alex, Truffle the Black Labrador and two cats. He still has strong links with the UK where he visits his two grown up children and his grandchildren. During his retirement he has written six Sherlock Holmes pastiches published here. His latest short story, Sherlock Holmes and The Zhou Bell was published at Smashwords in October 2013 and his exciting first SF novel 'Saline' is also now on sale!
