This book is more of a how-to than an actual novel. It teaches average people how to fight, raise honey bees, find out of someone is lying, and so on. The book itself is divided up into 3 sections- detective skills, survival skills, and life skills. All are very interesting, including a short history of how Sherlock Holmes came to be and some biographical information about the author. It is very useful and fun, especially on rainy days. Would also be helpful and a great read for kids just starting to read. I would recommend this "book" to anyone for a light read without having to get sucked into a long, complicated plot.

Not what I expected- much better. Would definitely recommend. As a teacher of young adults, the story is engaging and may spark interest in history.

This is a good book for those who enjoy random books. It has plenty of great topics on Sherlock Holmed and the techniques he used. I liked it for the criminalistics aspects it covered and learning neat facts about the genius Holmes. :)
