Overview

THE MEMOIRS OF SHERLOCK HOLMES is a collection of eleven Sherlock Holmes stories, originally published in 1894, by Arthur Conan Doyle. The British Edition also contained “THE ADVENTURE OF THE CARDBOARD BOX” a story about adultery considered too risqué for American readers. You can find it included in HIS LAST BOW. This collection contains a fascinating variety of stories, from narratives by Holmes himself to a meeting with his brilliant brother and the climactic and seemingly fatal meeting between Holmes and the criminal mastermind Moriarity, this volume sealed Holmes' immortality as a literary figure. The following short stories (and the date they are set in) are included in this book:
Silver Blaze (1888)
The Adventure of the Yellow Face (1888)
The Stockbroker's Clerk (1889)
The Gloria Scott (about 1875)
The Musgrave Ritual (1879)
The Adventure of the Reigate Squire (1887)
The Adventure of the Crooked Man (Summer 1888)
The Resident Patient (Oct 1881)
The Greek Interpreter (1888)
The Naval Treaty (Jul 1889)
The Final Problem (1891)
