Overview

The last of his kind…

Rekkus is the last of the great Black Tiger weres and he is happy to stay that way. Working as security for the Wiccan Haus, a magical spa for inner healing, he has enough danger – and women – to keep him busy. Unfortunately, the Fates are not content with him being comfortable.

Alone and discouraged…

Dana has walked away from all she has known, her fiancé, family, apartment, and job. Now, having a ticket to the Wiccan Haus may be the only way she can move on. But what she finds isn’t what she expects, nor is it what she thought she was looking for.

Meet the unusual residents of the Wiccan Haus. The staff can get a little hairy and not all of the guests eat what’s served in the dining hall. But the proprietors always do what they can to make the resort into a place of healing and peace, using all of their years of practice. At the Haus, where humans and Paras reside side-by-side, everyone in need of the Rowan siblings’ services are welcome.

WELCOME TO THE WICCAN HAUS.

Editorial Reviews

Sensual Reads - Candy Reviewer
In the first book of The Wiccan Haus, a multi-author series, Dominique Eastwick sets the stage for the future stories. Ms. Eastwick throws together two people who seem to have nothing in common and produces a sweet love story filled with lots of interesting plot twists.
The Romance Studio - Wendy Mitchell
Shifting Hearts is a great little find. I am so tickled I found these wonderful characters that make up The Wiccan Haus. They were quirky, diverse and very intriguing. Ms. Eastwick's writing style pulled me into the story immediately and never lost my attention for a second. Of course the fact that she wrote some amazingly hot and erotic love scenes didn't hurt.

    Fabulous Concept!

I don't normally go much for shape-shifting in erotic romances, too much room for yik. No yiks here, only yum! Rekkus is a wonderful hero--very alpha (and the shape-shifting adds to that nicely), yet romantic and considerate. The heroine, Dana, was likable in her insecurities and the way she handled discovering the secret of the island plausible. The development of the relationship felt real even though it was (of necessity) quick. I'm normally not into any novellas, either, as I just like more plot and world-building, character development, etc. than there is space for in shorter stories and this one is only 21,500 words. But the concept of Wiccan Haus--a resort/spa where paranormals and humans come to heal--with stories by different authors about the place--was too hard to resist. It was on my TBR list before I won it in a contest. I'm even more enthused by the premise now that Ms. Eastwick has introduced me to it. I've read a previous novel by her, so I know that she can write very sweet romances that are also quite hot. This story reinforced that. I'm looking forward to the next books in the series.

Vampires, witches, and weres, oh my! This was a sweet and sexy novella, filled with shape-shifting yumminess and cameos from a couple witches and vampires. I’m partial to the cat shifters to begin with, so the hero being a were-tiger was the icing on the cake. It was also a relief to read a romance, especially an erotic romance, where the heroine wasn’t supermodel stick thin and perfect, but was still plenty sexy. There’s not a whole lot of storyline other than a little background on our main characters, so the focus is all on them as they get very friendly with one another.

My only real complaint is that I want more, because the atmosphere created such a fun story. It is a series, though by different authors, so I’ll have to check out the next one to see how things play out. The way it’s set up, stories could be written for the owners of Wiccan Haus, but from the looks of it, so far it looks like the sequels will focus on guests. It’ll be interesting to see how the different authors depict the same world and incorporate the background characters each time. Overall, a quick, light-hearted, fun erotic read.

Wish this place were real. I loved Rekkus and can't wait to read more about the island and its residents and I have alread read a few more in the serie :). This is a great introduction to the series (most of the book are written by different authors), but like with any good book I wish it had been longer.
