Overview

Acceptance does not mean surrender… Shifting-- the Fiery Sequel to Awaken-- which you can Read Free-- bit.ly/1fK79c4

In one moment, everything changes for Meghan and Colin Jacoby. A light goes out, a doorway closes and a new life is thrust upon them. But even with this terrible blow, they discover they are not as alone as they first thought.

This terrible turn of events has brought them into the world of Grimble, an afterlife ghost town where the deceased from the world of magic wait after death, to finish any unfinished business. One ghost in particular takes a liking to the twins and says he’s been waiting for them! A first for Grimble, seeing as no ghost has ever had their unfinished business come to them before.

He claims to be a long lost relative who is there to assist the twins, and ease their transition into this new life. Unfortunately, soon after, a secret is revealed which pushes the magical community’s levels of acceptance and tolerance to its peak! In addition, an emerging fire prophet, known as a Firemancer, warns, They attack you where you sleep! The seer’s words are feared to mean that an ancient enemy is rising. Although many fear it is the newcomers themselves, Meghan and Colin Jacoby, that cannot be trusted.

To make matters worse, Colin find himself in trouble, the kind of trouble only his sister can get him out of… except there’s just one problem: if Meghan doesn’t succeed, not only might her brother die, but her failure will put the entire magical world into peril.

This is an excellent sequel! I loved that the book picks up right where the first book left off. The author doesn't waste a lot of time rehashing what you read in book one. I really enjoy this series. Not only is it unique, but the characters are wonderful. The author does a wonderful job developing a story that young adults and adults can enjoy. If you love fantasy, you're going to love this series.
