About the Author

Shigenori Soejima is a Japanese artist best known as the character designer and art director for Atlus’s Persona series, starting with Persona 3 in 2006. Born in 1974 and trained at the Tokyo Design Academy, he began his career at Atlus in 1995 doing pixel art and minor design work. His breakout came with Stella Deus in 2004, showcasing his distinctive, expressive style. Soejima's use of color to reflect theme—blue for Persona 3, yellow for Persona 4, and red for Persona 5—became a hallmark of his design. He also worked on Catherine and Metaphor: ReFantazio, drawing inspiration from real people to infuse his characters with personality and realism.
