Meet the Author

Jenny Drastura has been involved with dogs since 1984 and is very involved in rescue, particularly adoption and transport. Jenny was co-editor and primary writer for The Lhasa Apso Reporter, a popular bi-monthly breed magazine published in the 1990s. She has been a member of the Dog Writers Association of America since 1988 and a member of the Society of Professional Journalists. She also belongs to the American Lhasa Apso Club, the American Maltese Association, the Huntington Kennel Club, and New Hope Animal Rescue Group. As a freelance writer, Jenny has contributed articles to Dog World and The AKC Gazette, as well as numerous breed publications. Jenny has a master of arts degree in journalism and has been with Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, in various writing capacities for the past 20 years. She is editor of the alumni magazine for Marshall's Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. She lives in Huntington, West Virginia.
