This is the first book I have read by this author and I was impressed. The characters were well written, plenty of action and gore, great world building, and a fast moving plot. It is over 1300 pages on my Nook but the stoy drags you in from the start and keeps you riveted until the end. The way this ended left a possibility for a sequel--hint, hint. I totally enjoyed this read and look forward to more journeys into Mr. Passarella's tales.
On my Nook this book was over 1300 pages, which I love. The story is AWESOME!!!! If a book doesn't hook me in the first couple pages, I don't read it...this book hooked me in the very first paragraph. I was so into this story and the people in it, I finished it in two days. The last few pages made me cry...THAT is the kind of story I like, keeps you reading to the end, you feel what the characters feel and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I am soooo hoping for a continuance of the Walker family story.
