Despite being recorded over a four-year period, Shimmering Lights doesn't have the dragged-out feel of a belabored album. Like a poppier version of Tokyo Police Club, Meligrove Band specialize in the sort of zippy, quirky indie rock that rarely slows down, and the band's fourth album manages to squeeze ten songs into the space of a half hour.
