Heather King writes so honestly that at first new is stopped short, but then as one begins again one loves this author's honesty and realizes her trials and sins and guilt are your own that perhaps you don't like to face but feel so at peace when you do face them. Her book Shirt of Flame shines light again on St. Therese of Lisieux. I have read it, choosing the same chapter for a number of days and have read it as a daily devotion instead of monthly. However it is read, it is a source of blessing. I too have chosen Therese to be my sister, or rather she has chosen me? I love her more than I could an earthly sister. So far all of Heather King's book have been a blessing. I encourage all who want to grow in your relationship with Christ to read them.

I am someone like the author who is intrigued with the life of St. Theresa and recovery from alcoholism. This book was a wonderful insight into the spirituality and connection with God that Theresa had. I often read a chapter to get inspiration and a positive outlook. St. Theresa had said "God wouldn't inspire desires He didn't want to grant" and this book gives me the hope and connection to see that. I am able think about my imagination as a gift and a wonderful tool to my connection with God and my successful recovery.

Overall a disappointment. The print is so tiny I couldn't even read the book. I don't know why this wasn't fixed?
