    Not so shocking, but interesting!

Interesting information about our presidents. Not so shocking, but interesting and entertaining. Great for trivia and history fans.

    History Made Fun

Shocking Secrets of American History is a treasure trove of anecdotal stories about people and events that are familiar to us, but perhaps without our knowing the whole story. Some stories included in the book are more shocking than others, but for those who treasure history trivia each story proves to be an interesting read and offers insight into what has made our nation what it is. It is light reading. Chapters are short and subject matter is quite concise. If you expect in-depth reporting, you may come away disappointed. But as a springboard for additional historical investigation I would recommend this book.

    Good for a Few Laughs

Not a bad little history book, especially for one written by a high school teacher from Madera, CA (population: 30,000). While not as stimulating as I like my history books, it's a nice little pocket volume that includes a few interesting stories (I especially liked "The Prophet's Presidential Curse". Probably more for the history buff than for the general reader.

    Shocking Secrets of American History

Great source of history trivia. Many of the short stories have been shared with my 9 year old son to stimulate his love of history, and shared over the water cooler at work. Yes America we have already had a female President of the United States... If you want to know who or what... I suggest you read it yourself to find out!

    Fun Facts

This book has a collection of fun stories you don't normally see in the history books. If you like reading about history and like the off beat stories then I recomend this book.
