Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
The cover of this shaped board book depicts an unusual shoe with white polka dots on a red background and pink laces. The polka dots are textured and great to run fingers across. What do shoes help you do? The right shoes help with walking long distances. Others are made for sports and protect your feet when you kick a ball. How about dancing shoes—the little monkey appears to have ballet shoes on and is shown in a ballet pose, but the text states that he is dancing the tango. It is fun to play dress-up and daddy's shoes are the choice here. The final spread shows a litter of naughty puppies chewing on something they really like—shoes. An amusing board book for the very young. The series includes Slippers and Boots. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
