About the Author

Julie Golob is one of the most successful professional shooters in the world. She serves as captain of Smith & Wesson’s highly successful competition shooting team. During her eight years with the elite U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU), Julie was named both U.S. Army Female Athlete of the Year and USAMU Athlete of the Year. She has been the United States Practical Shooting
Association (USPSA) Ladies National Champion ten times; Ladies
World Speed Shooting Champion seven times; International
Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) Ladies National Champion four times; and NRA Bianchi Cup Ladies Open Champion twice.
All told, she has won more than 115 championship titles in international,
national, regional, and state shooting matches in twenty years of competition. An avid outdoorswoman as well as a wife and mother, Julie lives in Montana.
