Long before Burt Lancaster, Henry Fonda, Kurt Russell and others like them graced the silver screen to tell a version of the tale, the Arizona Weekly Star, Arizona Daily Star and other Arizona newspapers reported on one of the most famous incidents in Arizona history.

The words “OK Corral” are all it takes to conjure thoughts of the Wild West when justice and revenge were swift and often merciless. The shooting has grown into legend.

Tales from the Morgue presents the story of the shooting, the events leading up to it and those that followed as they were reported to Tucsonans in the pages of the Arizona Weekly Star, the Arizona Daily Star and the Tucson Citizen.

Good read from the prospective of newswriters of the times

This is an interesting approach--to tell the story from the prospective of the newswriters who were writing for the Star at the time these events occured. I was pretty surprised by reading these articles because I have read so many accounts of the events of the gunfight at the OK Corral that differ considerable from these reports.
