Barnes & Noble - Lisa Zhito
Greatest-hits albums can be a kiss of death, since they tend to signal one of two things: Either an artist is about to take an extended break (bad news for fans), or else a label will soon cut an artist loose (bad news for artists). But it's not hard to look on the bright side in the case of Chris Rice. Short Term Memories presents one of Christian music's most eloquent writers, known for simple, resonant lyrics and artful melodies accessible to listeners and his fellow artists alike (Amy Grant, Kathy Troccoli, John Tesh, and Michael W. Smith have all recorded his material). Culled from four of his six studio releases (two were instrumentals), Short Term revisits some ...

Culled from four of his six studio releases (two were instrumentals), Short Term revisits some early Rice hits ("Clumsy," "Smellin' Coffee," "Cartoons") as well as newer selections ("The Other Side of the Radio" and a new recording of "Come to Jesus"). Two new tracks, "Go Light Your World" and "Mama Prays," are classic Rice: a lyric about the power of personal faith in a breezy acoustic pop package. Here's hoping Rice continues to offer meaningful music to fans for years to come.

    Gentle words.....forceful messages!

Had the privilege of seeing Chris in concert....I was introduced to his music years ago by a friend....his thinking is incredible...his message so simple and yet so thought provoking! His love for Jesus Christ is so evident...and in his music he shares that. Awesome!!!

    This collection shines!

I bought this because it had a couple of my all time Chris Rice faves and then over a month of listening discovered 5 more that I really enjoy. I will have to buy another copy, as I have given mine away. You HAVE to share music this good!
