Following up on his popular Appalachia Waltz album featuring Yo-Yo Ma and Mark O'Connor, virtuoso double bass player and composer Edgar Meyer offers this new program of down-home music. These feel-good pieces have wryly waggish titles like "Concert Duo, the Prequel" and "Death by Triple Fiddle." For the violinist, the technical demands of this music are very specific - minimum vibrato, a warm lower register for accompaniments and so on - and it's to Bell's immense credit that he sails through these new waters like an accomplished bluegrass veteran.

    I never get tired of hearing this. If you like bluegrass and classical you will absolutely love this album.
