Most kids spend their summers and vacations watching TV, playing video games and playing sports with their friends outside, but not the Hardy boys. They spend their time traveling to all different parts of the world trying to solve mysteries and stop crime. All boys from 10 to 14 that like lively adventure stories, packed with mystery and action that leave you wondering what is going to happen next will want to read The Short-Wave Mystery by Franklin W. Dixon. Sons of the famous American detective, the Hardy boys help solve many thrilling cases after school hours and during vacation. As they follow up the clues they discover, they follow their quest to bring criminals to justice. When the thieves take a collection of stuffed animals from an auction, Frank and Joe go after the getaway car and are drawn into a thrilling mystery. The recently acquired interest of their best pal Chet Morton, in taxidermy as a hobby, and the Hardy boys picking up clues on their ham radio adds twists to the puzzle. Adventure and suspense make this a quick and easy read, and those familiar with the Hardy Boys will appreciate the customary structure of this series.

This was a great book. The only thing is that this book was published in 1945. So now I understand which period of time this book was based on.
