    Couldn't ask for more

I first saw this book open on a table, being offered for reference, at the NSAI offices in Nashville (Nashville Songwriters Assoc.). I knew that it must be good if it was being used by one of the most well-respected songwriter associations. I finally ordered the book and I'm glad I did.

What I admire most about this book is the detailed analysis of recent hit songs. I used to analyze these songs myself, thinking, "Why is this song a hit?" Now, I get to be lazy because author Robin Frederick has done it for me, breaking down and outlining specific, easy-to-understand points about many successful songs in multiple genres.

This book is extremely practical, easy to read and understand, and I honestly don't know what more a songwriter could ask for. It is an invaluable resource.
