I found this composer's interest in flutes and double stops very....different. In the second and fourth movements of the First Concerto, he uses double stops almost constantly. The flutes (also accompanied by temple blocks in the 4th movement) make it very interesting, sounding almost like a circus, as there is also also some tambourine in the backround. I like this piece a lot, and even though these are not top class performers, they sound great. There are not many related compositions that match the vigority of this one, but if anyone knows any, please tell me.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
