Another hit read

Another great read by Ms James. I wasn't sure about this when it first came out, but once I started reading it I had a hard time putting it down. Cam and Domini's characters are great, they both have demons they are hiding and once they are out in the open it is hard not to be cheering for them. The first few chapters draw you in and you just can't help but keep on reading and the way Ms James brings in the other characters as well is always nice. After reading her other Rough Rider books you just can't wait to hear more about them as well as she continues the series. Can't wait for the next ones to come out.

I recomend this book to anyone who is bored with the same old love story and is looking for something a little juicier than normal. This is a great summer read at the beach or pool or even on a rainy day at home.

I liked this book because it was really juicy at some points and made me cry at others. Don't read this book if you are easily offended because the author really got into the juicy parts.But if you like to get away from the safe stuff for a little while this is the book for you.There are alot of characters in this story it was sometimes hard to keep all the brothers and cousins straight but I loved the story line. What can I say but enjoy.

Cam McKay, the youngest son out of the "Notorious McKay Clan," returns home a wounded Soldier, missing part of his leg & a pinky. Besides having to deal with his physical battle wounds, he's also trying to be the man he once was. Unfortunately, that man is lost within the shuffle of the men & women who return from war. They are NEVER the person they left as, the horrors they witness & are involved in, & coming to the conclusion that there's a COST to our FREEDOM, it isn't something easy to swallow.

Cam is determined to shun his family out of his life, to only speak to Colt & Keely, but NOT to be involved with any other family activities. He prefers to be on his own, to live in absolute solitude. Yet that is extremely difficult to do since he's a Sheriff in the town he resides in as well as most of his family members too.

Domini Katzinski was an orphan from Ukraine, who eventually became a US Citizen, she lived with Nadia & Anton (from Skylar & Kade McKay's Story---"Tied Up, Tied Down.") for a while, & then found her own place. She manages Dewy's Restaurant (which is mentioned in Carter & Maci McKay's story---Rode Hard, Put Up Wet), and is also located in the same building as AJ McKay's Message Therapy, & Skylar & India McKay's shared businesses.

Since Cam speaks with Colt who is India's husband, it was kind of inevitable that Cam would eventually stroll into Dewy's and lay eyes upon Domini. Cam knew Domini would be perfect for in & out of his bed. But what he didn't realize is once they began their sexcapades, would it be just sex between them or something else entirely.

This was unlike any other war-hero romance novel I've read thus far, usually it's the hero who pushes away the heroine to the point you as the reader become utterly infuriated with him. It takes most of the novel when he comes to the realization that she is his, "SAVING GRACE," and he eventually allows the barriers to be depilated. Definitely NOT the case with Cam & Domini.

Domini will NOT allow Cam to shield himself away from her. She pries away the layers of his self-preservation. She couldn't care less that he is missing certain body parts, she wants to know the man within. And for him to be COMPLETELY HONEST and TRUTHFUL to her.

Yet as much as Cam is determined to no longer shelter himself from Domini, she is HARBORING her own SECRETS. Fearing she would lose Cam if he knew the truth.

My conclusion was WAY-OFF base, but I was right about what occurs to Domini when she's a child. But sorry, I don't KISS & TELL!

Besides this being a love story between Cam & Domini, Ms. James also incorporates Anton's story as well. Which ends up being a much needed camaraderie to this novel. It conclusively brought forth an immense amount of HEALING to everyone involved, INCLUDING the rest of the McKay Clan. I've laughed my derriere off several times, & I've also cried (tears of sadness & intense JOY!)

I'VE ENJOYED ALL OF THE ROUGH RIDER NOVELS WITHIN THIS SERIES, BUT SO FAR THIS IS MY FAVORITE!

As all of the other books in the series they are fun to read, but not for everyone. If you like the other books in the series you will like this one.

I love militqary guys and I'm glad there's one in the McKay clan

I love militqary guys and I'm glad there's one in the McKay clan. Cam is so big; with his domineering ways, loving heart, and strong mind. I cried alot about what happened to him during war and also about what happened to Domini. They both had part of themselves stolen. Cam during war and Domini while living in Orphanage. This book will give ppl more appreciation for our soldiers, children needing adopted, and about stuff that happens in other countries to children. Life isn't always rainbows and sunshine, but after reading about Cam and Domini you'd think was. This book is Beautiful.

Was expecting more ...

I have nothing against good sexual chemistry between characters but a sex scene every 2 pages?come on! You can have exceptional sexual situatiin without making a guy getting into his wife pants every chance.
I like the author but if you shrink the 500 pages into the real story it goes to 100 pages tops. I was very disappoitend . Read at your own risk.

Not one of my favorites

Somehow Ms. James missed the mark on this one. I didn't fall in love with the characters and found the storyline a bit boring, the characters were flat and a bit too needy. To be honest, I didn't even finish the book. I've read all of the Rough Riders Series and this is the only one I didn't like.

What a man what a man what a mighty good man!

Men like Cam are few and far between. Sure he has to get over a lot of setbacks in his own life. He berates his loving family and distance himself from a lot of people but ultimately he learns his own mistakes while he's figuring out Domini. This couple hide a lot of secrets but as their love blooms so does the trust factor. Very sweet how their story unfolds and ultimately where they wind up. Recommend this entire series.

Loved this series!!

Lorelei James has a real steaming winner with this series; one is better than the next. All Jacked up was burning hot. I like many of the scenes without it being too raunchy. I've read them all and I'm now reading #12 - WOW!!!

I cant really say much more than WOW about this story. Loved every minute...couldnt put it down. I'm intrigued by Cam's BFF, Brock...hopefully he gets his own book one day. One thing was 'off' for me though - vegetable oil, really?! Seriously?!

Hot cowboys and cowgirls, plenty of wild erotica. Fair warning: might be a little "outside the lines" for some, most Lorelei James includes threesome, an-- sex, sexual submission, but always in a mutual consent/respectful of boundaries way.........if you enjoy erotica with good characters and fun stories, you will love Lorelei James.

Highly Recommended....

I have read all the Rough Rider Series and could not wait for the next one. They are all about sexy, crazy, fun filled Cowboy action in the field and in the bedroom. Some hot smokin Cowboys ....but read the whole series, it is well worth it.

Lorelei James has chanked out another excellent weekend read! Loved the story line and characters as I have in each and every one of her books. This author has a way with telling cowboy stories that just doesn't leave us disappointed. Keep up the excellent writting Lorelei James!!!
