The book Shout, Show, and Tell by Kate Agnew and illustrated by Lydia Monks, is appropriate for grades second and third because the book is shorter and contains pretty easy words. This book covers a little bit about diversity because the teacher asks the students to draw who is in their family. Lily feels sad because she lives with her mom only because her parents are divorced. The topic of divorce is part of cultural diversity because everyone comes from a different type of family. It is important for teachers to teach young students about diversity because it is in our world and every student is different. Along with teaching about diversity, younger students will be taught how to respect everyone in the classroom. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
