Anybody who reads this book knows it is highly provocative, and some of it is very truthful while other information is totally off the mark. His idea of a war over the war in Iran is total bonhomie. Anybody that reads seriously and not alarmist about that country knows it wants to become the superpower on its on its own right. They are only relying on China barely and giving them oil for power and money in Tehran, but Tehran sees its future in its own right, even though it is much a very capable vassal state of Russia, unlike Cuba was for the old USSR. The Venezuela problem is also ridiculous. But other situation such as wars over Taiwan, Japan, and North Korea are very plausible as China sees, for whatever reason, that North Korea as a client state. Clearly, the rulers of North Korea are mad and unruly, but they are not dumb, and that is why they are friends of China. The friendship with North Korea is based on ideology, hatred of the US, and its very astute personality cult and isolation of people, but people of business from the US never question their client status with such a terrorist state as North Korea. Although I don't have love for Taiwan and South Korea, both have credible intelligence agencies in China that we are too feeble and scared too go into. Of course, even though, they are allies, Taiwan and South Korea, who have tried to harness an atomic bomb themselves tried to steal nuclear secrets from us. With Taiwan, we had one of the greatest coups in intelligence in stopping their nuclear program with the defection of their chief scientist. Taiwan seems too increasingly be dependent on China, but it will look to America for defense, but with the notorious corruption in Taiwan and China's capable intelligence agencies, they basically own that country anyway. Was this review helpful?
