Overview

Brought up in a traditional family Carrie Stevens fights the bounds of propriety and flaunts her deviance with no regard to personal consequences. With one exception…her big brother’s wishes where his band is concerned. The sparks that fly when she’s around the one taboo she’d love to date are only a tempting siren’s song, until she sees there’s more to Shea than she’d originally thought. The sexy drummer might just make her lose her heart, if he can put her past to rest.

Shea McNamara has been in love with Carrie Stevens for years. Running in the same circle as her isn't easy. Her choice in men irks him but she's in his blood as much as the drums he loves to beat. All he has to do is convince her there’s more to life than the fast lane. With her flirty attitude he refuses to allow her to call the shots.

Review Of Shut Up And Kiss Me By Mahalia Levey

Nice to know my request has been granted....lol. Not only did I get to reacquaint myself with Garrick and Neveah from Rhapsody but I got to meet Garrick's sister Carrie and his band mate Shea. Shut Up And Kiss Me is a great follow-up to Rhapsody. Not only do I get an update on my favorite characters but I get a new juicy story to boot.

From the beginning you can feel the sexual tension between Carrie and Shea. They hold themselves in check because Carrie has sworn off musicians and he is in her brothers band. Shea, although he has wanted Carrie for a long time now, denies himself because she is Garrick's brother and he doesn't want to ruin their friendship. One drunken slip of the tongue by Carrie starts these two characters down a path that forever changes them.

I have loved every book of Mahalia's I have read but this one really just struck a cord in me. There was just something about these two characters that had me rooting for them from the very beginning. As always, Mahalia writes a HOT story but that was just the cherry topping to an already extremely satisfying story of two people who truly belong together. I look forward to Kiss Me Like You Mean It, the next installment in this wonderful series. On a scale from 1-10 I give Shut Up And Kiss Me A HUGE 10 and encourage everyone 18+ to read it. This is a great story with characters worth rooting for. If forbidden romance intrigues you or you just love a great story then this one is definitely for you.

Review originally posted at Romancing the Book

I chose this book because the title sounds like a hot, sexy contemporary romance story. As I was reading about Carrie and Shea’s chemistry, I knew I picked a good one. I do not know if it is part of a series, but I would be happy to read more in the series, especially the romances of Shea’s friends. In Shut Up and Kiss Me, Mahalia Levey, brings in the attraction regarding Carrie’s twin sister Carlie, and I loved reading about them as it made me laugh, and feel sexy reading the sex scenes!

Anyone who likes reading erotic romances and also likes knowing their is a plot and a back story, I would recommend they check out this novella. The relationships of Carrie’s family and of her attraction to Shea, it made me cheer for them as they tried to deny their attraction and their feelings toward each other as they seemed so well fit for each other.

Shut Up and Kiss Me is is hot, sexy, and engaging as a erotic romance and I will continue to reread this book when I need some sexy thoughts, and some romance in my life.

Favorite Quote: “In that direction he’d have his work cut out for him to find her before he had to go. Carrie led him on a merry goose chase with nine office doors between them. Her smell surrounded him leaving him little help in ferreting out which to enter. Expelling a groan, Shea opened each and every door, leaving them wide open as he zigzagged his way closer to her.”
