Emotionally riveting and electrifyingly sexy. Unputdownable. Rene burns up the pages and leaves you raw, desperately in need of more. —USA Today Bestselling Author, Christin Lovell

Juliana Petersen's troubled past haunts her at every turn. The crippling memories of an abusive relationship, and the lack of support from her family, lead her to flee her old life and begin anew.

After settling into a quaint college town, Juliana finally feels at peace, content to stay under the radar and keep things simple.

Until Aiden Stone, her new photography professor, crashes into her life, blurring the line between love and lust. As their torrid affair reaches untold heights, Juliana struggles to keep her shuttered emotions, and growing affections, from throwing her into a relationship she isn't prepared for.

With her newfound romance blinding her from the looming shadows of her past, her nightmares become reality, and she is forced to discover her true strength within.

NOTE: If you’re not a fan of taboo tales of love and lust or cliffhanger endings, this book isn’t for you. This student/teacher romantic suspense novel is the first book in the Cornerstone series and contains sexual situations meant for adult readers ages 18 and up.

Okay, let me start with the warning that this book is #1 of 2. I really wish I had known that when I started it. That being said, here is my review. It took me a chapter or two to really get into this book, but once I did I really liked it. I was about 75% through the book when I realized that it was the first part of the story. Would I recommend it, yes if you are willing to buy book two. I will eventually probably buy the second book because I do want to see what happens.

when i read the description for this book, i wasnexcited, and it did have a nice start. but as it progressed, i found myself annoyed at Julia. granted she did go through a terrible ordeal, but nobody, and i mean nobody can be that naive. after a while i just figured she really does have no backbone and is naive and stupid. the story pretty much takes place over a week. and aiden also seems juvenile and obsessive. i get that some people are into the super steamy sex scenes, and this book did have those. but for me, it fell short. it was well written with few errors, and i can say that the characters were developed, i just didnt like them.

This was my first time to read a book by Rene Folsom. I was pulled in immediately. The book is suppose to be a student/professor love story. I felt like there was so much more to it. There is a little bit for everyone: student/professor relationship, suspense, drama, sex scenes and true friendship. It did end with a cliffhanger. I know some people don't like cliffhangers, but I do like them. A cliffhanger makes you want to read the next one. I can't wait for the next one. I would highly recommend this book.

This book was free so I decided to give it a try. I had mixed feelings about this book.....Julia is supposed to be recovering from an abusive relationship but yet getting involved with her professor all in a weeks time. At times I found myself being annoyed with the story. Towards the end it did get better but now there is a sequel....guess I am moving onto the next book....

Only got half way through and not really sure it's worth it to finish...even knowing it's part of a series. The characters were just weird and super corny. Sorry!

I thought this book sounded fantastic in its description and was excited to read it. The writing in its self is exceptional, her punctuation and grammar are almost always flawless and I can see a talented author. However, by page 30 is its already an out of control and unrealistic piece of work. Nearly the second they meet she and the professor are obsessed with each have other, just in the first class he barely keeps his hands off her. Several times they say they shouldn't be together but they don't even bother to try. Also she was ridiculously fast to be interested considering her history and the fact he's a complete stranger. I'm glad I didn't pay for this, I understand he's a hunk but my word build up to the tension don't just shove it in the readers face on page one.

Great book, I just wish I had noticed it was a 2-book story line. I will have to get the second book so I'll know how it ends.

I'm not a prude, far from it. I prefer romance novels with a little sex thrown in. I am on Book 2, and this would make a full-length porn movie. These books have more hard-core sex than the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy and that's saying a lot.

Julie is so hungry for her good looking photography professor even when she is getting windshield notes from her ex boyfriend, she doesn't hesitate to have an affair. The professor appears off, and more so to me, after she meets his twin brother. And then the book ends. What a sad way to publish a book, that I'm going to pass on buying the finish to this rather trashy story.
