I was assigned this title while taking a special education course and it was remarkable, not only for its insight into the experience of an autistic child but for the revealing look at an amazing family--and mother--and her approach to her daughter's struggle. I have decided to continue my education and include more special education courses--perhaps due in part to Ms. Park's inspiration. I would recommend this book to anyone in the field of education, special needs, or to those who are seeking to understand and cope with autism in their own family.
