I pulled my son out of public school this year to home school him, and I found these flash cards to be very helpful in getting my son familiar with certain words. However, I don't recommend flash cards as the only way of teaching your child sight words. Different font types in books can be very confusing for a child, and they will often get stuck on words that they are really good at reading on flash cards. This set is a good tool to help your child get used to the words. But I recommend also working with your child on the same sight words in different books, so they get used to the multitude of font types out there.

I used this for children who are learning English as a second language and I find that it truly helps my students out a lot. I hope you make more versions of these flash cards which would cover nouns, verbs, etc. I'd definately buy them all! Thank you very much!!

For the price is pretty awesome. My kid is 6, I work with him 5 words a week and he knows already around 50 words. And he's staring to read books (Beginners with pictures on the sentences) . He's really into it!!! This really works!

Site words are so important in developing your childs reading skills. It is a great start for your child. I recommend site words for every parent who want to give their child the upper hand. Of course you still have to take the time to teach it to your children which is the hard part. But worth it.

My granddaugher, in less than a week, caught up with her reading skills when she entered kindergarten a week late. She enjoyed the pictures on the sight word cards. We had a blast!

These cards are very good for children ages 3+. I find that the best way is to use the cards (colored side first), 5 cards each for a week. By doing this and reading to your child nightly, their vocabulary will grow. Within a month, my child was able to recognize at least 20 words in his books.

I love these cards. I am always on the prowl for new ways to help my son now 3 be ready for school. He makes him feel so proud to see the words and know what the card says. I recently bought two more sets because these cards go everywhere with us. The only downside is that they are double sided. They would be perfect is there was only one word per card, that way it would be easier to really keep track of one's progress. I reccommend these to everyone and to have fun with it.

I tried making my own flash cards for sight words and they were so unattractive. It was actually cheaper to just buy these cards and they are so beautiful. I think my kids found the colorful cards stimulating and it felt more like a game using these cards.
