With so many other true John Lennon CD's available, the only reason to purchase this is if you happen to like Yoko Ono. Had I known it was more Plastic Ono than Lennon, wouldn't have purchased. RETURNED IT.

Happy 70th Birthday, John Lennon. Without John Lennon, then the Beatles would never exist. John Lennon was a singer, songwriter, actor, producer, husband, father, and political activist. Throughout his career, John Lennon recorded eight albums and several hit singles including Imagine, Instant Karma, Whatever Gets You Thru The Night, Mind Games, Woman, Watching the Wheels, and so on. If you have the original individual remastered and remixed cd albums with bonus track, but want to get it in a box set, this is the definitive box set for John Lennon/Beatles fans like me. The people who remastered the Beatles Stereo and Mono Box set including the Red and Blue album have done it again. It sounds a lot better and louder than the original cd albums. If you want to have this for Christmas, then start saving your money. This is the definitive John Lennon box set you will be waiting for.

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
The crown jewel in Apple/EMI's extensive 2010 John Lennon remasters series, Signature Box contains all of the solo studio albums Lennon released during his lifetime (minus the trio of experimental duet LPs with Yoko Ono released on Apple and Zapple), his first posthumous album Milk and Honey, a disc of non-LP singles, a disc of home demos, but not the 2010 showcase item Double Fantasy Stripped Down, which is available only as a bonus on the indvidual reissue of Double Fantasy. It is, in other words, close enough to complete to perhaps invite a little bit of quibbling about what is absent -- Live Peace in Toronto could fit in nicely with this batch and there are ...
