About the Author

Brandon R. Hill is the co-founder and CEO of SmartASL, a sign language education resource company. Brandon holds a bachelor’s in graphic design and master’s in sign language teaching from Gallaudet University. In 2014, he was awarded the Masters in Sign Language Education Award from Gallaudet University for exhibiting pedagogical innovation and aptitude in the field of Sign Language Education.

For the past decade, he has taught ASL at various universities, as well as courses on filming sign language. He has a penchant for technology and enjoys combining this with teaching to introduce innovative ways to teach ASL. He also is a nationally certified Deaf interpreter and provides interpreting and educational workshops and trainings. He currently resides near Salt Lake City, Utah with his beautiful wife and children.
