Overview

The Triforce, that golden entity set in place by the three goddesses to protect all Hyrule, has been broken-into nine shards instead of three this time. Darkness creeps along the fringes of not only Hyrule, but also of Termina and Twilight. These three realms, intimately linked, can only be rescued by...

A young boy who cannot speak but whose courage will emanate louder than any evil he faces.

A princess as timeless as the shadowy realm from which she returns.

These two Heroes against three great enemies: Ganondorf, Majora, and the young, ambitious Zaruman, who connects both guardians and enemies of the three realms in ways which the heir of Link could never imagine...

In a race against time and in a mission which breaks the boundaries of time, Hero and Princess must combine courage and wisdom to collect the notes of a powerful requiem and use their knowledge of the ancient legends to press forward and resurrect a mighty weapon from Hyrule's past. Aided by a strange voice, Great Fairies, and their own intuition, will they succeed like the Hero who came before them?

Can darkness and light converge without creating shadow?

* Please note this is the updated, re-edited version of Silent Hero. The story is the same, though I have done a thorough read-through to fix some minor inconsistencies which my readers pointed out to me. Thanks to the readers, and I apologize for not taking my time on the original copy of this fan fiction as I do my own, original works; it's my first and probably last fan fic, but I enjoyed writing it, and it was a nice challenge for me to accomplish.

You can also read this new version on Evolitera and North Castle.

God bless, happy reading, and may you be inspired!

    Just another bad fanfic

When you look at the cover of this book, you expect to get just another poorly written fanfiction. It delivers just that. The overall premise of the book is to cram every element from the Zelda series into one short novel. This creates problems. The fact is that the book is rushed because of its attempt to include everything it can. Everything in the plot happens so fast and you never get a feel for the characters or the locations in the story. The writing and dialogue is pretty average, but has some very low moments as well.

Overall I would say that the author needs to think smaller. Every single element from the series creates the need for a longer story, which would probably need to be split up by different novels. It may be a fanfiction based on already existing material, but that does not mean it has to be unoriginal.

    READ THIS MESAGE

Firstly, if you really want to understand anything that happens in this book, you should at least play Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess. I promise you it will be worth it. Second, I have tried writing fan fiction before. It's not easy, and the people who can really do it on the level of a best-seller are the ones who write Star Wars novels. This may not be the best book you'll ever read, but I give it a 5-star rating because it probably is the best unsponsored fan fiction you'll ever read. Finally, to those who say Link should always be with Zelda, try to remember that in the storyline he does have free will, easy as that is to forget when you direct him with your control stick. Those of you who have played Skyward Sword know the recurring events in Link's multiple lives are not the result of his destiny(or at least not as we commonly use the term), so I think we can safely say his personal life does not have to remain the same throughout his lives.

    Read this!

Ok so this is a terrific read for any Zelda fan. It's well written and a must own for any Legend of Zelda fan. If you're not familiar with the Legend of Zelda, this story captures the essence of this marvelous series. Though, it doesn't begin to scratch the surface of the magnificence of playing the actual games.

    I liked it.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a little fast though. I know i would haved loved it even more if they would have made more than one book. The ending made me sad..... again (twighlight princess fans should know what im talking about). I have loved THE LEGEND OF ZELDA series my whole life and it was thrilling to read a book about it. Again its fast but for true fans you should get it for sure. I would suggest this book to my fellow fans. I hope more fan fictions are published. Sincerly, Cody

    Just Finished This...

A flawless transition from game video games to a novel. I love the way the history of the series is woven together.

As others have said if you're a fan of Legend of Zelda you won't be disappointed. The end may depress you though.

How often does free and quality go in hand in hand?
