Overview

The Triforce, that golden entity set in place by the three goddesses to protect all Hyrule, has been broken—into nine Shards instead of three this time. Darkness creeps along the fringes of not only Hyrule, but also of Termina and Twilight. These three realms, intimately linked, can only be rescued by...
A young boy who cannot speak but whose courage will emanate louder than any evil he faces.
A princess as timeless as the shadowy realm from which she returns.
These two Heroes against three great enemies: Ganondorf, Majora, and the young, ambitious Zaruman, who connects both guardians and enemies of the three realms in ways which the heir of Link could never imagine....
In a race against time, and in a mission which breaks the boundaries of time, Hero and Princess must combine courage and wisdom to collect the notes of a powerful requiem. They must use their knowledge of the ancient legends to press forward and resurrect a mighty weapon from Hyrule’s past. Aided by a strange voice, Great Fairies, and their own intuition, will they succeed like the Hero who came before them?
Can darkness and light converge without creating shadow?

* Author's Note, July 5, 2012:

This is the updated version of "Silent Hero;" after reading through and gaining some feedback from readers, I found several minor but certain plot holes; I apologize to my readers and hope they will find these fixed. "Silent Hero" is still the same story, only with the kinks worked out now.

Feel free to read more on my decision to re-edit the book and my process on my blog, "The Golden Healer," as found on Blogspot.

Thanks to all my readers, God bless, and may you be inspired!

Meet the Author

Christine E. Schulze has been creating books since she was too young to even write them in words. Her collection of YA and MG fantasy and Christian Fantasy books, The Amielian Legacy, is comprised of series and stand-alone books which can all be read separately but which weave together to create an amazing fantasy. One of her main aspirations for The Amielian Legacy is to be able to create grand fantasy adventures with characters that connect with readers from all different backgrounds. She prides herself on including diversity in her books; right now her focus is on racial diversity and people with disabilities. Some of her exciting ventures include her publications with Old Line Publishing, Bloodmaiden and Lily in the Snow, as well as The Stregoni Sequence and The Chronicles of the Mira with Writers-Exchange in both paperback and electronic forms. She is also a proud author at Book By You, a publisher specializing in personalized books, and is happy to release Song Quest, Black Lace, and Dark Embrace with them. Her most recent project includes the professional re-editing and remastering of her YA Fantasy series, The Hero Chronicles, which is anticipated for re-release starting in 2015 under the new name A Shadow Beyond Time. For this series, she has also brought an amazing new co-author onto her team, Kira Lerner. Silent Hero: a tribute to Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda 4.4 out of 5 based on 1 ratings. 449 reviews.

Firstly, if you really want to understand anything that happens in this book, you should at least play Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess. I promise you it will be worth it. Second, I have tried writing fan fiction before. It's not easy, and the people who can really do it on the level of a best-seller are the ones who write Star Wars novels. This may not be the best book you'll ever read, but I give it a 5-star rating because it probably is the best unsponsored fan fiction you'll ever read. Finally, to those who say Link should always be with Zelda, try to remember that in the storyline he does have free will, easy as that is to forget when you direct him with your control stick. Those of you who have played Skyward Sword know the recurring events in Link's multiple lives are not the result of his destiny(or at least not as we commonly use the term), so I think we can safely say his personal life does not have to remain the same throughout his lives.

Ok so this is a terrific read for any Zelda fan. It's well written and a must own for any Legend of Zelda fan. If you're not familiar with the Legend of Zelda, this story captures the essence of this marvelous series. Though, it doesn't begin to scratch the surface of the magnificence of playing the actual games.

A flawless transition from game video games to a novel. I love the way the history of the series is woven together. As others have said if you're a fan of Legend of Zelda you won't be disappointed. The end may depress you though. How often does free and quality go in hand in hand?

I really enjoyed this book. It was a little fast though. I know i would haved loved it even more if they would have made more than one book. The ending made me sad..... again (twighlight princess fans should know what im talking about). I have loved THE LEGEND OF ZELDA series my whole life and it was thrilling to read a book about it. Again its fast but for true fans you should get it for sure. I would suggest this book to my fellow fans. I hope more fan fictions are published. Sincerly, Cody

This story was cute, if not a little simple in structure. It had a very dramatic and sad ending, and I found it a bit dissapointing. Over all, it was pretty good.
