Deep in the forest there live a family of lumberjacks. One day the dad went inro the forest to chop wood. He never returned that evening. In the morning when the baby woke up there was a bloody finger in its crib. It let out a shreik and the mother came and comforted horrified by the sight. That night still no father. The next morning the little son woke up and feeling something in his bed looked and to his horror there were two bloody fingers in his bed. That night still no father. The next morning the daughter woke up and in her bed she found three bloody fingers. She left the bed screaming. That night still no father. The next morning the eldest son woke up and lo and behold to his shock there were four bloody fingers in his bed. Cursing he cleared his room. That night atill no father. The next morn the wife woke up and breathed a sigh of relief. Her husband was bach...... but wait. When she looked closer she realized that it was indeed her husband, dead and missing his fingers!

October the Thirty-First, B.C. 2528: I wrote by the torchlight. The Pharaoh had demanded that I complete the hieroglyphs in him tomb by sunrise. I would occasionally glance around, afraid. It was like some unseen creature was stalking me, awaiting the perfect moment to strike. I made the last brush stroke, sighing with relief. I heard something crash. I was up and running faster than you could say, "Osiris." Suddenly, something grabbed me from behind. It covered my mouth, so the other scribes couldn't hear me scream. I struggled, and luckily broke free. I ran, fast as I could, until I got to my home. But the thing that came after me will be back...I can tell. Thank goodness I finished the wall when I did, or... what was that? I'd better go check... *a bloodcurdling scream echoes over the pyramids* ~Tell me what you think! Take it hard on me, I can improve my writing that way.~
